We usually get cut-throat pretty quickly.......chasing nocks.
Usually starts innocent enough with 2 guys accidentally shooting for the same spot, when one will WHACKO!! the other guy' s nock. Then it' s GAME ON!! [

Nobody is safe, and the good arrows get put away in a hurry.
That can get pretty expensive and fast tho, especially with the shooters in my group of friends.[:-]

i' ve played the spear game before...only with a 20 pound draw weight bow...thats always fun....also....see who can get the closest to the middle...equals 2 points and in my 6 inch circle i s a point each....subtract ones from the higer score to find out how many points u get....shoot at variing ranges...too.....usually go 20-15-10-5-10-15-20-30 yards.....
for some reson i usually win....can' t figure that one out...[>:][

We always get in a good game of " whitetail" ! Played the same as you play " horse" in basketball. The second shooters arrow has to be within four fingers of the first shooters arrow or he gets a letter. I' ve taken my furthest shots playing this game.

Same as BOWFANATIC except we play " BUCK" cause whitetail would take way too long.....some real shooters here...
no one misses...
and if time allows, perhaps a second game of " PIG" .

We used to do several things. Like dangling a business card on a string in front of the target and letting the wind blow it. (That gets pretty challenging when it lays against a arrow that missed and all you can see is the edge of the card). We also used to hang eggs the same way, only at 40 yards.

My brother inlaw and I give values for each shot. Ex. 20 yards bullseye is 1 point, where a 35 yard bullseye is 3 points. Each take a turn shootng where ever you choose. After 4 or 5 rounds you total the points. I like the sounds of the whitetail game, never played it but tomorrow I' m gonna try it. I always find things to shoot. Apples, pears, coffee cans, snuf cans, and yesterday I was shooting broadheads into a pumpkin. Anything I can do to keep it interesting.
