Default Spotted a Booner last night...

So, I hunt in the west central part of the state over in Buffalo County Wisconsin. Have been hunting there since 1996 and have been very fortunate to do so. This time of year I get so amped up to head there it's crazy. I LIVE in the southeastern part of the state in Waukesha county. We have about 12 acres that we built a home on out in the county in a little more rural area that butts up to a farmers land with some nature reserve land around that. There is no lack of deer around here and I have a couple stands hung in the back of our acreage here at home for when i can't make it to Buffalo. Well last night, while out in the yard, I saw a few deer out in the bean field several hundred yards out. I grabbed binoculars just to check em' out and as I was scanning the field something caught my eye. This is what it was:

Keep in mind I grabbed a telescope, watched him for about 40 minutes and thought to put the phone lens up to the eyepiece to try and get video. (very hard task to keep it still) Let me tell you the video doesn't do it justice, He was a perfect 5x5. Brow tines were 5-6" long if that's any indication of the size of this guy. We have a 8pt that we took that went 160" so I can say with pretty much certainty that this buck is mid 170's no sweat. Anyways, pardon the noise of me emmulating a gun shot wishing i could take that thing, but perhaps i may have to spend some more time at the Homestead!!

(also, it was about 7:20pm and no i was not shining, the eyepiece of the telescope just makes it appear that way )
