Yesterday I had a day off so I took advantage of the cooler weather and headed to the farm to hang stands.

After hanging 4 sets I finally got to the spot I wanted to hang a "new" stand I had just picked up off Craigslist. This thing is big - 24x34 platform, armrests and rail. After getting the sticks up and packing the stand up the tree and wrestling with the stand for several minutes I realized that the cinch strap was not threaded correctly and there was a loose bolt.

So.....just a reminder to check all those straps, nuts and bolts on your stands before hanging them this year.

YES! I'm laying out all of my stands this weekend to preform routine maintenance. Great reminder.

Good advice. And I might add - check the cables too on your hang ons.
