Haven't seen any high scoring bucks on my trail cameras so far this summer but did stumble upon this 10 pointer. Might have to make him due unless some other wall hanger makes his presence.

You're exactly right on that one btnovotny, I've had some big bucks on my cameras many times only to never see them during hunting season.

This philosophy could be the reason you don't have anything impressive on your cameras. He gets a pass here in KS for sure. Nice little deer for sure. Young and not a lot of mass. Let him go.

A lot of things come into play here that I/we dont know. This is a late summer deer who hasn't put on fall weight yet and with a hot dry summer is to be expected. This may be a HUGE deer for this area. And last but not least the trophy is in the eye of the beholder, and IMO any deer taken with archery gear is a trophy, buck / doe or otherwise. Just don't think you should be beating him down. Your deer in your profile pic is a cute little one compared to my wall decorations!
