Default Helpful hint (hopefully)

Some of the screws on my sight, rest, etc were loosening up over time (usually at the worst time) and I found the following to be an easy, cheap fix:

I took some of that thin white teflon plummers tape (pipe tape) and wraped it once around the threaded end of each screw before tightening them down. They never back out or loosten but are still easily removed for tuning or maintenance.

I just put some bowstring wax on the threads--also works great.

I hate murphy so I use Locktite (the removable type) on all screws on my bows and guns. Probably over kill but murphy has no mercy where I' m concerned[:-]. Don
