Here in Northern VA, Urban season opens Sept 20 and ends March 27th of the new year. 6+ months of archery. If guys dont start taking large amounts of does this year I dont know what the state will do here next year. I believe the does will be DMAP from Sept 20 through Oct 4th(start of reg. archery season). Then the reg season will go out on the first Saturday of the new year and once again the does will be DMAP until the end of March.

Here is GA:

Sept. 13th - Archery Season Begins
Oct. 11th - Primitive Weapons (i.e. SmokePoles)
Oct. 18th - Firearms Season
Jan. 1st - Season Ends Northern Zone
Jan. 11th - Seasons Ends Southern Zone

2 bucks (one must be 4 points on one side) and 10 anterless allowed.

Oct 18 - Dec 31

Season started Aug 29 and goes until Jan. 5

Illinois bow season open up one half hour before sunrise on October 1st. I' m countin down the hours!!!! Can' t wait to get back in the woods.

It' s really quite amazing how the seasons vary from place to place. I couldn' t imagine hunting in March (like in ginia). Not that I wouldn' t love it...It seems like you would never miss hunting season since it was soooo long[:-]. JDinAB

Needless to say when I found out I told my wife, " Hey, now I can go straight from hunting right into fishing with no lag time, I wont have to sit around for three months wondering what to do"

Archery season starts here Sept 27- Oct 26, gun season Nov 1 - Jan 4th, but you can hunt archery the whole time (except the last weekend of October.)

Archery opened up province wide for Mules & Whitetails monday Sept. 1 and goes until Dec. 6th. However being I was chasing elk last week my archery deer season started on August 25th. I never connected on a bull elk like I dreamed[:@] but did take a nice doe, so I am some what pleased!
