WOW, THE BUCKS WERE OUT TONIGHT!!!!
#1
Hey guys,
Went spotting twice tonight. I saw probablly 25 different bucks on those scouting trips. There were a slight misty rain and we have a storm rolling in now. Those bucks were out EVERYWHERE!!!!!
I did manage to see the big 8 point that I caught on video back in July. He has gained some tine length, mass is still a little small, but, he definetly isn' t the other 8 point I got on film in that area. He is out of velvet now, and looks very good. If only he walks past me this year

Hankfan,
Yeah, probablly half of the bucks were out of velvet. There horns are still red from the blood.
445, Thanks, I am really looking forward to season! This area is really shinning with the new antler restrictions.
BGH,
Your not even worth replying to....... go spread rumors, that is what you are best at!

I was out last night as well. Saw some real nice uns
One dirt road had a big grass field and a huge clover field down the road from that. Now you would think the deer would be all up in that clover but I' ll be dipped if they wern' t 15 doe and a few rack bucks, and one big boy pushing 140 all getting there eat on in the grass field.[

I read someone saying on this site the other day that all the younger bucks lost their velvet yet they noticed all the mature bucks still carried theirs. Well I noticed the opposite last night.

i had the same experience like 4 weeks ago. thunderstorms were predicted for that night so that means drop in the barometer which equals day-time movement of deer including the monsters. i saw 25-30 bucks with 2 MONSTERS. now all i need is permission to hunt those grounds plus another storm like that during bow season!
