Hawg Hunt with Pics
#1
I took 4 good friends out to my little patch of HAWG heaven yesterday.
Even tho it was a hot TX day 3 of the guys connected with some smallish hogs.
I did not hunt but helped the guys get their prork.
The 1st pic is of Henri I have been coaching Henri in archery for about a year now and he has become a good shot.
His pig was his 1st ever bow kill even tho he did get one of the smaller pigs I am still proud of him and to see the excitement in his eyes when the arrow connected.
We did have a couple of moments tho and I honestly thought Henri was going to go home empty handed.
Henri was using a MMMMMMathews Legacy
60# 25"

Pic number 2 is Kyle we have been good mates for a while now and travel all over the state for 3d tournements.
I had no doubt that Kyle would connect first he is a good hunter and one hell of a shot.
Kyle was using a BK2 60# 29" draw and his 3d arrows CXL 350" tipped with grim reapers.

Lewis did connect with a smaller boar and did not want his pic taken.
Mark did have a shot but the pig jumped at the moment of release and the arrow missed.
Mark also took his stepson out for the day as he has never been hunting and Mike had a ball even tho he was a little scared specially when a boar came busting out of a brush pile not more than 10 feet from him
Unfortunately Mark was the only one who did not connect but I intend to take him out again so he can get one and hopefully his stepson with hunt as well as Mark has been teaching him the fine art of archery.
Now we dont have any scales so would anyone like to guess the weight of the 2 pigs pictured above.

Nub.
I dont know why but evey time I take people out to this patch they keep taking the small ones.
I am trying to let them grow up.
There are some real monsters out there and no body wants to shoot them.

Ausie-guy, why do you let them shoot the sucklings
If those are the little ones I' d hate to be bowhunting and have a big one step out on me. Do you think the smell from my soiled drawers would spook them?
Great looking hawgs and I have to agree they weight alot
