At what distace are the majority of shots taken from a tree stand? I was told at a local pro shop that it was about 10 yds?? I am newer to the sport of archery and have not taken many shots.

I doubt the avg shot is 10yds...probably more like 20. I personally like about 15 to 20 yds. Not too close, not too far

WV Hunter is correct as usual. 15-20 yards, which is what it should be.

1 @ 15
1 @ 18
2 inside of 10

I keep a log, my average distance is 13.5 yards. The closest was 6 and the farthest 24.

For years I had a problem with deer getting to close. No-matter how I set up any buck passing by would end up at the base of my tree - or real close. Got busted more times than I want to remember and I don' t like them close.

I would put up a fence around my tree if I could - let em all pass by at 20 -25 yds -much easier on my nerves

I guess my " average" is around 20 or so.

My average is probably 12-16

i like to set up my tree stand between 15-20yrds. off the deer trail that way im not shooting at such a drastic angle

Yeah, I have to agree. Most likely around 20. That' s were I like them best 15-20 yards.
