RE: Peeing from Stand!?

i' ve always heard that the smell of human urine doesn' t seem to bother deer and i have always been leary about goin near my tree stand , however after reading thru this topic i think from now on i' m just gonna let it fly ,who knowsmaybe i' ll even save a couple bucks on lures ![:-][:-][:-][:-][:-]

Ive always been afraid to try it too, but now I think Ill let er rip.
I must have a pretty big bladder cause I can stay up 7 or 8 hrs without goin,
but by the time I get back to my atv I`m about to bust. My huntin buddy
always lets his fly, every 30 minutes it seems(not that I`m watchin or anything)
but he seems to see a lot less deer.

I know conventional wisdom and advice says to put it in a bottle or wait untiol you leave the area. But I have had 6 point and 8 point deer come up to my tree and lick the base of the trunk of my tree after I had let go when the coffee excess was too much to hold. I' m not saying it is " the" thing to do....just saying I have personal experience of a couple of decent deer that found it enticing.

i peed from my stand one time and a deer went right under me sniffed it

and all i seen was a big white tail going thru the brush. you won' t see me pee from my stand again.

the key to a good hunt is bring a bottle.

Another female point of view...

Just before rifle season last year I was out scoutin' with my camera. Had to go, so I went. As I pulled up the drawers I heard something behind me. Turned round to see a six point looking at me from about 15 feet. [:o]

Just the other day I did the same thing and continued walking. As I circled around my path I heard something. I could see a sassafrass sapling shaking like crazy. There was a buck right there rubbing his velvety antlers all over the sapling.

I' m no expert but perhaps it just depends upon the person. I drink a lot of Coca-Cola so maybe that' s it for me. :D

Can' t wait til October......
