Kevin I have a cocker/border collie mix that every time I take her for a walk and cross where a deer has crossed she goes nuts trying to follow the scent, how high of a possibility would it be that this dog is a natural?

My other 2 dogs could care less, she would run me into the ground staying on deers trail if I let her.

Thanks for the link Kevin, I stopped by, joined and signed the guest book....let' s hope...it sounds like a great opportunity to find many unrecovered animals.

I did not say that at all. You can flesh wound a deer, see alot of blood and never kill the animal.....BUT, if you send the arrow through the body cavity chances are your going to catch major organs and yes, 90% of them are going to die.....that' s common sense....what I am said is to give everyone basic knowledge, or reminding people to give the animal time....too many people take up the trail too quickly only to jump the animal...and never see it again...I don' t know how you read anything different.
