Im going to this year . . . several times I' ve been up in my stand wanting to pull out my camera. This year I wanted to get up in our blinds early and try to click some pictures before season starts . . . but our blinds are taking forever to get built, transported to the lease . . and erected.
We just got the first one up last weekend. And of course the ladder gave way while I was 8 foot up so I came a tumblin down . . . tore up my knee and landed on a 2x4 brace (which has left a fantastic bruise on my back). So know it looks like itll be even longer before we can put my blind up.
Im interested though . . . my brother and I are big hunters, but the rest of my family (while they love the outdoors) simply dont understand the whole hunting thing . . . so its hard to come back from a great trip and carry a conversation with them about it.
Since they do love the outdoors, I think taking pictures of beautiful wildlife up close can bridge that gap . . . they dont have to pick up a gun and start hunting . . but I think theyll start to see what it is that keeps us going out there all the time.

Absolutely!!! I usually take both still and video cameras. A friend of mine took his video last year and said he never even picked up his gun. It is great capturing all the different wildlife on film. I usually use a digital camera instead of a slr. Just easier to edit and delete instead of paying to have substandard pictures developed.

I tired to post some pics of some deer that I took over the earlier part of the summer from some ground blinds but the files are to large. How can I compress them so I cam post them?
