The meat should be fine. The purple color of the blood is due to lack of color pigments. At least that' s what a local biologist told my cousin when he got a 4 pt. in the same condition. He ate the meat and is no worse than before??!!!! The only problem he did have is he went w/o a deer for two years and has yet to get another buck that was almost 8 yrs. ( superstition or mental?????)

Bruce, i know its illegal to shoot albinos in illinois, but we can shoot non albinos (piebald ect..)right? i was just wondering

First time I have seen an albino also, pretty cool. Nice pic and congrats to your friend.
