Default I think I' m having trouble w/my anchor.

I am going on my third year of archery shooting and I think I caught on pretty quick my first year. In the last two years I have noticed sometimes my groups change places. I am one who would over analyze certaing things and try a bunch of different techniques which in turn would creat bad habits. Sometimes I will just go out and shoot and I will have like a 3 inch group maybe like to the right. Then i will really try to focus on my form/technique and get all three arrows touching but this time it will be up to the right or somewhere other than normal. Should i just stop thinking about it or can anyone give me advice so i can shoot consistenly. Note: My first year i could consistenly groups my arrows so something has changed since then. Thanks for all of your help.

Just find the posture, stance and anchor thats comfortable for you and dont change it. Keep shooting the same way and after a while it becomes habit and you will start doing it without even thinking about it.
I have a semi-open stance keeping my body approx at a 45deg. angle from the target. I dont use a peep so I have a kisser button which i place in the corner of my mouth then I rest my nose on the string so that the string is in the center of my nose that all keeps my shots the same every time.
Good luck.

Yep, just use a kisser button and don' t overthink it, just practice and get used to the feel. Center your nose on the string, kisser feels right, anchor up soild to your jaw or head somewhere consistent, aim and hold very steady and before you know it, the arrow is in the center

My draw length is not long enough to get to my nose? Is it to short should i get it lengthened?

On short bows, a lot of the time - especially with a draw length 30" or more - the string angle is so severe that you' d have to have a face like a collie to touch your nose to the string and a kisser would sit nearly flat against your lip.

Without knowing the axle to axle length of your bow, your draw length, what release you use, how you anchor, whether your nose is flat as a bad boxer' s or if you have a honker like Jimmy Durante, it would be impossible to tell you whether you can get even pick up a string contact anchor reference without stretching your draw length out too far. Frankly, a lot of guys are shooting too long a draw length and that' s how they can touch the string to their nose.

Something to do to doublecheck your draw length is stand up against the wall, facing it, stretch your arms straight out to the sides, palms flat against the wall, and have someone measure along the wall from fingertip to fingertip. That will be your wingspan measurement. You can take that measurement, subtract 15 and divide the difference by 2 and it will tell you if your drawlength is in the ballpark for what you should be shooting.

Example, if your wingspan is 76 inches. 76 - 15 = 61. 61 divided by 2 is 30.5, so that would be a 30 1/2" draw length. It' s not perfect, but it' s usually very close.

what about your grip on the riser is it constent.if you feel comfortable with your anchor it may be hand torque or not relaxing bow hand.remember let the arrow hit before visually dropping your bow arm.there is a topic on hand grip check it out goodluck
