Monkeyman, WRONG. Another "HUNTER" didn't steal it, but a person did. That is if he indeed found it dead. Now, it may have walked past his stand also and he shot it or shot at it, saw the blood and tracked it to is death bed.
But it is strange that it was skinned and quartered right on the spot. I would check the local taxidermy shops and see it one came in and if the taxidermist could identify the vehicle. Nothing you can legally do except confront the person and tell him what you think of his actions.

Well if I saw a deer walking with an arrow in it or mortally wounded. I would wait for about an 1/2 hour or so and then give a couple hollers out so the hunter could come to me and I would help him/her recover the animal. I've done it before. IMO finding a wounded animal is more important than me shooting one.
