Default Sweet Redemption

Here is a pic of the whitetail buck that I shot yesterday. My dad and I rough scored him at 135.

Making a long story short...

I had a week of very bad luck. I missed three different bucks due to the fall away arrow rest on my bow not falling away. (Word of advice, don't buy a Ripcord rest.) I switched rests (I'm now a Whisker Biscuit fan.) and got sighted in again.
Yesterday morning this buck showed up with a doe. I had to wait for it to get light enough to see exactly how big he was. Then I had to wait even longer for him to turn broadside so I could get a shot. When he finally did, I smoked him through the heart/lung area from 20 yards. No blood trail at all. Found him later about 100 yards away. I had actully walked past him about 15 yards earlier in the morning and didn't see him. Talk about a rollercoaster season!

A real nice Buck for sure. I'm a WB fan also, once you get it right it stays there. I happy your luck changed in time to nail that guy to the ground.

That's a nice one for sure. Congrats and I too am a big fan of the whisker biscuit rest. I'm a big believer in "the simpler you keep it, the less things can go wrong".

Thanks all.

Don't know what the problem was with the Ripcord but I'll be sending it back. I had their previous model on my old bow and didn't have any problems at all. Whatever the problem, I'm shooting the Whisker Biscuit from now on. I definitely don't want to go through that again.
