A Good Heart Pump Tonight
#1
It's been a while since I had a good heart pump while on a hunt, but tonight was a good one. I pulled up to my bean field with hope that my ultralight parasail neighbor would not buzz the field again,he did not. I was greeted by 6 turkeys when I walked to my spot,no deer busted me. At 6:00 a Doe moved out in front of me about 25 yards, she got within 10 yards of me and we looked eye to eye for a few minutes. I was not in a blind just in a hedge row with my 3D leaf suit but she just could not figure me out. She was a small Doe so I let her walk, another one the same size came out a little later. 4 more entered the field right at dark about 80 yards to my right,I hope to get just north of where they entered tomarrow or Friday. Noticed some good fresh rubs while there as well,so a Buck is in the area which gives me some encouragement as well. Being on the ground and that close is a real rush no matter how big the deer is,I loved it. Thanks for your encouragements I think my passion for the hunt was rekindled tonight and I'm ready for the Rut Madness to begin!

I know the feeling! I didn't deer hunt the past two seasons and decided to give it a go this season. I was seeing deer consistently and arrowed one on Halloween. It was great to have that feeling back. All the buck pics on my trail cam help fuel my fire too! Best of luck!
