Where I live and hunt, pee does not affect deer in the slightest. Even most of the wild places I' ve hunted in have had deer that reacted postively to pee, even attacking scrapes that I peed in. I try not to pee in my stand anyway, just because I figure no scent is the best scent- but if push comes to shove I don' t hesitate to just let fly out of my stand. It' s kind of fun too, I must admit.
It sounds crazy, I know, but try it sometime.
And cardeer- there is no deer worth carrying used tampons in my pocket for... You have got to be kidding me.

First of all I have pissed on stand and pissed in scrapes, deer could care less! The used kotex is deadly, my wife found out I was " borrowing" hers, she has started to hide them from me!

Let it go, play the wind though so you don' t have to climb down through it when getting out of your stand. If you are worried that the deer will spook at a foreign scent then do what I do. Go out to your hunting spot about once a week, and drink as much water as you can on the way, then piss everywhere (except right at the base of my stands) Let them get used to you being around. I also brush my dogs and leave some piles of dog hair around, Because I will surely have some dog smell on me when I go hunting. I wear a dirty set of work clothes so the deer get acclimated to that smell also. I don' t want to have those smells very strong on me when I am sitting in the stand, but I know there will be traces, and don' t want the deer to spook when crunch time comes.

I' m like most of the guys and don' t worry about it but if you do worry about it, carry a quality zip lock gallon freezer bag. Open up, insert tool, and relieve yourself, then zip it up and a bear can' t even smell it, according to the advertisement. They don' t leak either but I' m not responsible if you get the generic kind.

I go right off the stand. Hasn' t been a problem for me. Urine from meat eating animals definately has a different odor than from herbivores. The pH is different and the content is different. I believe the deer can differentiate herbivore from carnivore but that is all. If they ran off every time they came across carnivore urine they wouldn' t get much else done.

I will just let it go over the side, maybe even see how far out I can reach and beat the old record. If I am on the ground I will sometimes try to dig a hole and cover it when I am done. My brother-in-law would take an old sweaty t-shirt and hang it his stand to get the deer used to his smell.
Maybe I should run an add in the paper " Used Kotex wanted for Wildlife Experiment"
I think I have heard it all now! I may just try that someday.
