Hey fellas. I' m fairly new to bowhunting and this will be my first year to really try it during the early season. Here' s the situation...I have permission to bowhunt only on a nice tract of land...650 acres. I' d say 65% of the land is in beans and the other is small tracts of hardwoods. Most of the hardwoods border the fields and some are between fields in the center of the property. How should I approach this? I' ve already scouted it and there are some potential areas where two or three beanfields are bordering one tract of hardwoods...causing some natural funnels. There are some good corner spots too where a field corners into the woods. I' m assuming these deer will bed in the woods and feed in the fields. Unfortunately, I' m new to hunting over agriculture fields too so am I on the right track or am I missing something? I plan to hunt the feeding areas in the evening and I' ve decided to use my climber and be mobile this first year to try and figure these deer out. Thanks for your help!

Se up btween the feed and the beds.

Find out just where they are bedding. Then try to intercept them between the beds and fields. Sometimes, you may find that they are bedding only a few yards from the fields. In that case, leave them be and just set up outside of their bedding areas. Natural funnels are a great way to go as long as they are not bedding in the funnel.
