RE: Carbon Arrows?
Yes, someday I will hunt elk. None here in NY. I did visit Colorado on occasion and did get to see some elk and big horn sheep. Real neat stuff. I was using carbon last year in my set up and used the exact arrow that you used. However my draw is 33" and my arrows are the same. I had a real tough time tuning the arrows with the fixed broadheads. I'm really not into mechanicals that much - not to say anything bad about them. Field points were fine. The best setup I found were Muzzy 75 grain. This year, I am going back to my old setup of aluminum 2613's with a 125 magnus. Best of luck to you.

RE: Carbon Arrows?
Are you kidding carbons are just fine. I am only 13 but my dad has been hunting ever since he was a kid and he used carbons ever since they were available to him. I would personally choose carbon over aluminum.

RE: Carbon Arrows?
I''m just getting back into bowhunting, but the skinny carbons I used about 5 years ago would out do aluminum arrows then (just as accurate and more durable), I'm sure the newer types are better. You can break a carbon, but you'll never permanently bend it. Aluminum arrows bend too easy, and you can NEVER get them truely straight again.

RE: Carbon Arrows?
This year I got a new Martin bow and wasshooting 2116 alum. arrows at 227 ft per sec. I went to carbons and increased the speed to 272 with the same bow, That much more speed has to give you more knock down power. I am sold on them shooting my 3-d target I can hardly get the arrows out they penerate so deep.
