I buy on average about 3 new bows each season. This year I've owned a Maitland Retribution, Bowtech D350, Strother Vanquish and now I have an Elite Hunter.

Wow so how do bow manufacturers make any money?
Profit margin that great per bow? Granted this is a small sample. On large forums like AT the folks that buy new rigs each season is FAR larger.... in fact, many buy multiple rig each and every season. I'm fortunate to enjoy hunting and especially 3D shooting with dozens upon dozens of archers each season and most trade off each year. In fact, I'm not sure if one of my huntin' buddies has shot the same bow for more than 2 season no matter how much he thought he liked the rig. LOL! Shooting the same bow for a decade like some on this forum is NOT the norm for sure. LOL! As I've mentioned, new bows are actually a large part of the excitement of the sport each season.... it's something we all look forward to. In fact, most of my friends are already buzzing about all the new 2012 line-ups we will get to see in Oct/Nov ?!? |

2001 Martin Cougar Magnum. Shoots great. New bows way too pricy and can't see how one would shoot any better.

bought a PSE Stingray about 5 years ago used, my guess is vintage 2002 - 2003. Not a bad bow, just broke one of the limbs, trying to find a replacement limb now. Hopefully I can keep using it this year.
... Well, no luck with finding parts, so my bow is brand new this year, Mission Venture. |
Three or four year old Parker Ultra-Lite. LOVE it, and nothing better from a pop-up. But...i am getting a new Bear Carnage camo in the next teo to three months, and cant wait!!!
