I needed to get a new string for my Bear Element bow. The string just came in and I have no real archery shops near me so Dicks Sporting goods will be putting my string on for me. My question is, I've always had my dad around to help me set me bow up as far as setting up the peep sight and stuff. I have since moved out of state so I'm thinking how the heck am i going to adjust the peep on my own. The few people I know in my new state are about an hour away, I can wait a few weeks to see them for help but I'd like to start shooting again and am impatient like a child
Any suggestions on 1) a solid peep, since im starting from scratch I mine as well see if i can upgrade from my usual "old school" peep and rubber tube and 2) a way to adjust it on my own.
Also, I want to put string silencers on. I'm thinking it would be easier to put these on the string before the string goes on the bow when there's less tension. Any thoughts? I'm guessing the peep would be easier to add before the string goes on as well and then i can just slide it to adjust?
First time doing my string from scratch, thanks

Ah what a great day of work! I had to go an hour away from my usual route. Before I left I just happened to google bow shops in that area. What luck! Found one that had great reviews! Smuggled my bow in the work truck and took my lunch break there, took care of me right then and there and were very helpful.......i totally would have screwed up the job myself!
