3 Blades 07-31-2003 11:49 AM

RE: 2 blade versus 3 blade?

I use a Muzzy three blade broadhead. I think three blades make the best blood trail. If you think about it, three blades cutting will always assure that the wound is wide open like a hole instead of a cut. Two or four blades the wound can close up a bit when the animal moves and pulls the skin tight because the blades are straight across from each other. I personaly like to see a lot of blood on the ground. Never the less any broadhead through the boiler room will bring an animal down very fast.:)

I always used a 3 blade - but went to the 2 blade mechanical SNYPER last fall - I was impressed with the performance - great penetration - Dead dear within 40 yds, 1 lung.
