Looking for a 125 gr. broadhead
When I bought the bow I started out with a 125 gr. Gametracker. All was well for a few years, I was happy with the performance, then I went to buy some and...no longer made, apparently. Looked around a bit and found a Barrie Rocky Mt. 125 grain blade. Great. Decided to by 6 or 7 packs, just so I wouldn't be screwing around looking for them every couple of years. Now I'm near the end of my supply and...it apparently is no more. Gone the way of the Gametracker, I guess.
So, now about all I seem to see is 100 gr. blades. I want the 125 gr. Don't want a mechanical. Any of y'all know of a current production 125 gr. fixed blade broadhead that you can recommend?

Thunderhead 125gr
ive been using these since 1991 and there still around,not going anywhere! ive tried a few others but always came back to thunderheads. they are reliable,strong,and nockum down quick!
dont buy into all the marketing hoopla! stick with what works.
thunderhead rocks!

You have several choices and many listed above. I might add that Slick Trick offers several 125 grain models. They are all steel, super tough, extremely sharp, superior flight, and will cause some devastating damage.

NO COMPARISION!!!! The g5 montec 100gr or 125gr, your call, one piece construction no changing blades virtualy no way to distroy them. You are either hunting with them or they are lost no junk in box somewhere. The only draw back $$$$ about 40.00 for 3. I use the 100gr g5's and have killed elk, bear, deer, bobcats & coyotes without any problems. Opinions are like belly buttons everybody has one. Jim

I've been using Thunderhead 125's for years, & they still make them. I've shot them out of six different bows, & killed 15 deer. I thought of trying those montec's.
But just havn't got around to it yet.

Muzzy came out with a new broadhead for 2011 in their very successful MX-series line... the MX-3 in 125 grain. Very similar to the previous MX-3, but this year's has a steel ferrule which brings it to your desired weight you're looking for.
