ok so im thinking of getting back into bowhunting and maybe moving forward a couple years from current bow (which is a late 90s parker). Im not paying 900 bucks for something new, but ill pay 3-400 for something used and a couple years old, so which bows should i either be looking for or avoiding? On craigslist im mostly bowtechs, mathews, hoyts and the occasional pse......which years and models do you recommend or warn against?

The best bow for 3-400 is mission craze you will be able to use that bow for the rest of your life it is the most adjustablw bow on the market.Look at the specs at missionarchery.com.The usual retail price for this bow is $399.

I have not shot the craze but I am in the market to find a bow for my 7 yo son. The adjustability is crazy (pun intended) but there a lot of bows that are probably more suited to an adult.
The first poster said a Hoyt Alphamax. That is a great bow that could be found for $500 or a little less. And it is only a 1 or 2 year old bow.

I would look at ebay too sometimes you can get a bargain on there if you know what your looking for. I bought a pse mach x on there for pretty cheap a couple years ago. I like pse because they have a lifetime warranty on all there bows. Idk how the other companys are but they make good quality affordable bows for the average joe. Pse also makes brownings bows. Go to a bow shop or bass pro or something and try some out. You want one that you feel comfortable shooting.
