Thru I wierd set a circumstances Looks Like I will be buying some Property somewhere in MI.

Can Someone give me the low down on Deer Heard Sizes in Different parts of the state.
Also Where do the Big boys live?
Where Would you buy if you were going to get a small Piece of Property in MI?

You can find big bucks all over the state, but if you are going to buy property just for harvesting a big buck you should concentrate on southern counties like Jackson and Hillsdale. Livinston and Washtenaw produce too. Greatest concentrations of herd size are in the middle near roscommon, Gladwin and Clare counties. Osceola is good too. Many big bucks are also taken from the U.P.
There are good bucks al over, but access to the best hunting property is hard to come by.

There are big deer all over Michigan especially in the south parts of the state. As allready said...Jackson and Hillsdale counties always produce big bucks. Also,
washtenaw country is nice too since it is next to Jackson. I hunt in Van Buren county and Cass County, and continually see big deer, and talk to people who see and shoot big deer. I know for sure in Cass County (edwardsburg I think) there was a state record deer shot last year. Of sourse if you go a little North, not sure what county or even the town(I cant remember) you can go where the " Notorious" Mr. Mitch Rampola Hunts. Thats a whole other story however. Good luck!!!!

I notice your from Jo Davies...Why can' t you find Land out your way. I know it' s pricey out there, but MAN, Big deer out your way.

Me? I agree that Jackson and Hillsdale are probably the highest density and there are some MONSTERS roaming around there.
