Default Indiana doe down

The morning broke cold crisp and clear. The coldest morning of the year, 25 degrees. At about 8:05 a small buck slipped past me at about 50 yards. I hoped it was a sign of things to come. Didn't see anything else until about 9:30 when this doe came quietly by me at ten yards. I was already coiled and ready to strike when she stepped right into my shooting lane and stopped. I released the arrow and heard a loud smack. The doe went about ten yards and just stood there looking around. She started to walk off and went another twenty yards where she started to stagger. She went down in a heap and it was all over. I stepped it off and she had gone 39 steps from point of impact to where she expired. Great morning!

Blessings......Pastorjim

Nice doe. It was cold here in NY too. 27 degrees this morning. Yet no deer near me. Couldn't have had a better morning weather wise. Good shooting sir.
