The best 10 days of hunting in Kentucky will be the next 10 days. Sitting here trying to figure out a way to get over there and hunt next week, It's driving me crazy.

I killed a doe this morning and saw a few small scrub bucks starting to cruise some. Luckily I'm on vacation all of November so I will be in the tree when it heats up.

I'll be heading there sunday thru saturday. I'm hoping to catch the pre-rut at least.. We were trying to plan it in order to catch the beginning stages of the rut any chances of that? I'm not super experienced with Kentucky, I've only hunted the northern mid-west and canada. Any info would be appreciated!

The first two weeks of Nov. will always be great. Things really heat up about the 5th to the 15th. After that it seems the bucks are locked down more with does and you will see less activity but you can still see big bucks if the doe leads them your way.
