I like this one as well, though it pretty much discounts most moon phase theories. Makes a lot of sense to me, though.

I agreed with most of it except the part about the full moon during the DAY. The FULL moon comes up right at sunset - that's why it's full since it the side of the moon facing us is completely illuminated by the sun on the opposite horizon. The full moon will be going below the horizon at sun up - hence, there is NO FULL moon during the day. Remember, I'm talking about a FULL moon, not a nearly full moon which will give you an extra hour or two in the evening in the days leading up to it.
