Default What to do when wind changes/swirls?

A stand I hunt has a river just to the west of me and is a funnel of woods between the river and a field...only about 30 yards wide. That being said, a westerly wind blows my scent right into a bedding/feeding area so I need a wind that's somewhat easterly to hunt it safely but it seems like the wind swirls there quit a bit. When I get into stand the wind is usually in my favor but as I hunt it changes a lot...what should I do? Give up and move the stand somewhere else? Only hunt it on days with a strong enough wind to push my scent over the river? Hunt until the wind changes then go find a different stand? I do practice any scent eliminating stuff I can do but that can only do so much.

a river bottom is one of the toughest places to hunt...wind swirling majority of the time...either be as scent free as possible or move to another location...

Hunt it in the morning when the thermals are working for you or like you said only when it's a good stiff wind. I hunt the Valleys in Iowa like that otherwise you got to stay out of there, they will bust you everytime. Good luck
