Default Need Help Problem Solving

I live in Spokane Washington and I am having a horrible time patterning deer. My parents have a 40 acre farm which has pristine whitetail deer habitat. Problem is, our neighbor has two deer feeders(with bells)that go off twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. It's very irritating to crawl out of the woods at dark, not seeing a single deer, and driving by our neighbors and there are 30-40 deer there. I won't bait with corn or food, even though it is legal in our state. I'm wondering how to set up on some deer without having to find a new hunting spot. My parents have 40 acres for god's sake! I'm thinking food plots, but our area is so dry that most seeds don't last very long. I'll probably plant alf alfa for next year. What can I do for this late season? My season falls in the post rut when the bucks are recovering from the rut and trying to find food which usually lands them at my neighbors house. I forgot to mention that our neighbor is only around 1 week a year and isn't even here to enjoy the deer he is stockpiling from everyone else! We live in a mountanious region so there aren't a lot of deer to begin with. Any help is appreciated!

Are those deer moving off of your property and on to the neighbors? They cant all possibly be staying on the neighbors and nothing on yours...

They have been conditioned for the past 30-40 years with food and you would be surprised to see how many deer his property holds compared to ours. We get some deer, and granted, I know the big bucks are smart enough to not go into the feeders. What I have seen in the past post rut is that a huge volume of bucks choose to winter on our neighbors property because of the easy access to food. It really seems to limit my possibilities.

Just put some bells up that sound like his and see if they come running? You could always unplug his power source J/K. Set up close to there and see where they are coming from. Not all of them should be bedding on his side.

Your kinda in a hard place. You won't bait. You would have to figure out a way to get them on your land. Like you said maybe food plots, but you might go through all the work into BAITING them with a food plot. Or you can spend $6 and throw some apples or corn out and get into some of the action.

Seriously though if the deer are that conditioned to feeding and staying on his property. Hunt the per-rut and rut. Rattle some horns, put some scent down, use a grunt call. Try and lure them into your stand.

Thats what I was getting at... Just set up as close as possible and use his baiting to your advantage...
