Everyone here has offered good advice. All Ican say is yes you do get use to it. I hate heights myself but after a few times of getting in and out of mine it became second nature and I came to enjoy the experience of sitting high up. Never had the money for a ladder stand so my experience hunting out of stands was limited outside of old doors nailed into the fork of a tree.
