I use both gold tip XT and beman matrix. I use the gold tips for antelope and the beman' s for everything else.

I use Gold Tip 5575' s and now I just started using Beman ICS Hunters....like them both....the Bemans are a pain to pull out of 3-D targets though!

Carbon Express Terminator Selects and Terminator Hunter Select, I use these because of the Higher grains-per-inch than some of the other arrows out there so I can get the maximum amount of Kenetic energy out of my setup.

Beaman 380-16,28.5in.Could`nt get the GT7595 to tune-I think they were to stiff. The 3-D select 300`s shot good,but I`d bust them on 3-d shoots

I' ve used Beman ICS Camo Hunters for two years but am switching to Gold Tip XT this year. ICS' s are a pain to pull out of targets and sometimes the wall thickness differs from arrow to arrow. Weird. Heard lots of good thinks about the XT.

On my compound, I use 2613 xx78, 70 pound draw, 32" arrows, 175 grain tip

On my longbow and recurve, I use 2216 xx75, 31 inch draw, 55 and 58 pound pull, 175 grain tip.

In the last few years, I' ve shot different arrow materials including: Port Orford Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Chundoo, White Pine, Western Larch, Douglass Fir, Ash, White Birch, Laminated Birch, Maple, Hickory, Multiflora Rose, Bamboo, and probably a few others I can' t remember right now. For hunting arrows, I like shafts with moderate to heavy weight, at least moderate durability, and reasonable straightness. Western Larch, Douglass Fir, Ash, Birch, Laminated Birch, and maple (if you can find good shafts) fit the bill nicely. The others are either too light, too weak, or generally not straight enough to suit me for big game hunting purposes...though I still hunt with all of them from time to time. This fall, my broadheads will rest on stout shafts of ash.

4" parabolic feathers on the carbons, 5" shield cut feathers on everything else.
