Anything from Summit will be of excellent quality and would be a good choice. In the past 5 years I have used 3 different brands of climbers.....Summit Bushmaster, API Grand Slam Supreme, and my current climber is the Lone Wolf Alpha Sit & Climb. The other two stands are now expendable since I bought the Lone Wolf. Each stand had its advantages/disadvantages over the other. What it boiled down to was purely personal preference.....what I like/dislike in a climbing stand.

I would suggest for you to either try some of your friends climbing stands out or go to a sporting goods store where you can compare stands side by side and make your own choice.

My first climber was an API, it did the job. But my brother bought a Summit. I tried his, and liked it alot better. So you guessed it I also now own a Summit Viper xl. I' ve used it 3 bow seasons, and love it.

It is an excellent stand and one I promise you will be happy with. Summit also has some of the best customer service in the industry, they really stand behind their products.

You can' t go wrong ith the summit. I have the Viper XLS myself....with the foot rest and gun rest...but took the gun rest off since I bow hunt out of it mostly. The foot rest is great though. I love that thing. The stand is very comfortable, and safe....also VERY quiet. You won' t be dissapointed.

Summit stands are built by an engineer who makes his own designs. They are very comfortable. I have a back problem and can sit for hours with no problem!

Another site I visit had a poll, and Summit won 8 to 1!
