Then I guess thats why he would take it to a boat shop! Thanks for setting me straight Bigcountry.
BTW, I had a recurve years ago that the limb broke on me and it looked like aluminum when you looked at the grain. I was pretty sure that they were made out of that until now. Perhaps recurve limbs were??

I am building a medieval crossbow with the prod made from high temper steel. As they did use this material at the end of 16 century.

thanks for all the replys , the limbs are glass not metal coated thats why i thought of a boat shop they fix fiberglass all the time ,and i did get a new bow i just hate to bury the old one , thanks again

Friend of mine one time dry fired his and cracked a limb and he superglued it and he's still shooting it now same as he did the first day he got it, the limb ended up cracking beyond repair when it got pressed but other than that it worked. I do NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT recommend trying to superglue it, i say go get a new set of limbs or just talk the wife into a new bow. Ryan.
