One morning waiting for lite a bobcat climb the tree behind me and started to cry, what a eerie and scary felling.I went for my flash lite to shine him buy I drop it to the ground(shakey hands)When it finally lite enough I could not see or hear him any more and my goose bumps finally went away. And one time a Owl tryed to land on my head but I swatted at him and he veered away, man that was close.Has anything weird happen to you while bow hunting?

Good Luck,on your Hunt, and i wouldnt worry to much, about the Buff attacking you. Most guides shooting ability ,is Legendary. They simply dont miss------OFTEN.I would feel completely comfortable, with a GOOD guide, and a .405 Gibb' s waiting for the Beast to do something stupid.Practice your shot' s,relax, and have a Great time, and OHH Yes,Bring you American Express. If you want any other information, ide cointact Tink Nathan,he frequents Bowsite, and Archery talk,as African Bowhunter. He has the Knowledge and expertiese,to smooth out the Rough Spots.Good hUNTING!

a bobcat stalked me and my sister while out turkey hunting but never during bow, the only thing that was scary was this squirrel that thought my stand was his tree, it wouldnt leave me alone, i knew he was climbing up the backside of it and i turned my head to see him pop his lil head right at the same time, i jumped, he jumped, scared the crap out of both of us......

I do know I will never use Racoon Urine as a cover sent on my boots again.
After getting settled into the stand I seen the biggest coon I have ever seen come across my tracks and started to follow the sent trail right to my tree.
He looked up and started to climb till he got to the base of my stand he stopped and looked for a way to get around it.
All the time he was hissing and snarling.
When he did figure out how to get passed the base of the stand and started to get around it thats when I poked him with an arrow.
He fell back to the ground stayed there for a while then decided to leave.
I did not want to kill him but if he had started up the tree again I would have put him away.

a few years back I was watching a bull and cow moose near a swamp in NH when the bull spotted me and started walking towards me swaying his head back and forth I was yelling at him but did no good . Finallyhe stopped and started to rake a tree with his antlers and I took off running. The worsted part was the next morning going to my treestand in the dark I had to walk past that spot

I' m waiting for the story about the guy and the poodles?:D I had to take my arrow and poke a coon once to get him to leave me alone. I imagine anyone who has spent any time in a tree has had a close encounter with a coon or squirrel.[8D]

Walking in to my stand in the dark one morning, without realizing it I walked right up on a donkey. The thing let out a series of HEHAWs that just about stopped my heart.:D If buddies could have seen me I`d have heard about it forever.

You will never know the fear a poodle can put into a man. You guys can make fun all you want. I just hope you guys never meet on in the woods as I have.

Owles, wolves, bear, yotes, donkeys[:o], they can' t hold a candle the burning red eyes of a pissed off poodle.

And if he thinks YOU have his ball - Its all over

RE: When animals attack?

This past turkey season I' d found a big cedar tree that was a perfect place to starting call. Hadn' t called long when a hen showed up and I was purring to her to keep her around. She was about 60 yards in front of me up on a hill. I was watching her react to my calling when I saw something (a blur) to my right. I looked right and saw nothing. I heard something right in front of my and OH MY GOSH! A coyote was at my feet staring me in the eyes. I yelled and kicked dirt at it and it took off. My heart stopped...I was afraid to call after that. I don' t want that to happen again! I don' t know who was more scared me or the yote.
