Try a few trail cameras or scout using your tree stand-theres no law saying u cant watch deer from a tree stand.Or sit on top of a barn or hay pile in your camos. And do it more than one night or morning and dont forget your scent block or binoculars.

they prefer white acorn trees( rounded edge leaves) so check into what ya got. acorn crops vary from year to year. they eat the red acorns ( pointed edge leafs) later on late in the season and are bitter compared to the white. but i wouldnt taste them yourself.

White oak acorns drop 1st. They are big and lucious and aren' t around long. Also one of deers favorites. Red oaks drop second. It seems that deer prefer some acorns to others. There might bee a big white oak with acorns covering the ground
and a 100 yards away another white oak with all the acorns eaten as fast as they fall. Whats the difference? I don' t know, but it happens. I hunted a stand for 9 years, boy it was a honey hole, and the deer always fed their way to a certain 2 trees next to each other. there they would linger and feed for quite a while. So I would start taking note of the trees they seem to prefer. Then check out the tralis coming from the downwind side.
