G5 1" is legal in WI. In fact many of the guys that I shoot with are using Ultimate steel 100gr that are 7/8" . I have been practicing with the G5 now for two weeks. 4" helical fletching and now they are grouping really well.
Where are you going to be hunting in WI, Buffalo County? Bluff Country Outfitters?
If you are get ready. That spot rocks like Jimi Hendricks on acid. Two guys from my town scored 150+ class bucks down there last year. One of them on opening day 7:00AM. It was so sad to hear him complain about how his hunting season was over too soon
No sympathy here!

Me and my buddy used these this past weekend on some Oklahoma hogs, both hogs in the 200 lb range. this was my third animal with these heads and it was an outstanding pass through for the third time. Very good heads. none needed sharpening out of the package, though I think they are making them sharper than originally - not that it matters because i buy them because they can be resharpened so it wouldn' t matter to me if i had to sharpen them first.

Can anybody tell me how to sharpen these blades? I bought 2 packages last year along with their diamond sharpening stone and I' m still trying to get them sharp. They are so dull it' s like running your thumb over a plastic knife.

They have a link on their site that explains how to sharpen and how to tell when you have it finished. http://g5outdoors.com/pages/products.../faqs/faq.html Try this one.
