I went to the local bow shop today to buy a new bow square today since i lost my old one. When i went to buy it they ask me for my birth date to see how old i was. What kind of law is that? What has the world come to. Thats unreal! anyone know why they would do this?

See, i was wonderin if there were any laws like that. I work at a bow store and im only 16. But, i dont think its legal to sell archery stuff unless your 18. I know at wal mart it is. But, how old are you and did they let you buy it?

i think they were just pulling your leg! even if there is a law about how old you have to be to buy a bow or arrow ,broadheads etc. i don' t think stuff like a bow square or string wax ,or nock points are included in that law, if they are thats just plain old DUMB![X(]

I sure hope they were joking. But, anymore you never know. I mean, i went to buy a scope one day for my .22 and the lady got all pi$$y about it and whent he little ding thing on the register for ID came up, i was like, your kidding me, and she said, " No sir, considering what there used for i dont think they should be legal at all" But, i didngt get into it with her. I mean, i can see there being an age limit for some things, but when you cant even buy duct tape anymore because there afraid your going to smoke it? thats a little rediculous.

Well I had to have my dad give them his birthdate, they said i couldnt buy it cause i was only 17. If they think that someone could kill someone with a bow square, they need to get a life. They better outlaw kids from taking pencils to school before somone gets hurt. I guess if they cant stop us from hunting, they are going to try and stop us from buying hunting gear. I dont think they were jokin with me because i didnt know this person at the register, and they were new there so i dont think they would joke. Who knows

I think im going to lock my bow square, relese, wrenches and every piece of equpment, in my gun cabinet so i wont hurt anyone with them. Im woundering if this is some kind of law or if its just the management of the store. I may ask them sometime this week, just to find out.
Navy, your right you could buy all that without ID. Scary huh?
