The shelves are stocked full and the products are pushed because they are good quality products not in order to make a buck..
How extremely noble your family is. Congratulations, sir.

diamondrack, I had an older gentleman (he's dead now) that ran a pro shop about 30 miles from my house at the time I 1st became interested in compounds.

It is hard telling how many junk products and steered me away from and solid choices he put me on to. Doing so I know he saved me many $$$ down through the years. I really appreciated that!

I now try to do the same thing to my customers when they are unsure of what they want and are looking for advice.

Bitter? I'm in no way "bitter". I just pointed out that there might be more to the story than meets the eye.

Like....there's "usually" a reason when a group pushes certain products. You work with a Bowtech dealer. Dan's on the staff. Does it surprise me that you guys push what you do? Of course not. Am I blind to it? Of course not.

I have no affiliation with ANY company. Not one.
You do realize that YOU brought up Bowtech in this thread and not me or Dan. Not sure why you did other than you just have a problem with them and want to talk trash every chance you get.

I have been here since the 90's (more than twice as long as you) and can tell you that the ONLY product I have ever promoted as being the best out there is Slick Trick broadheads. Those that know me will tell you that if I "push" a product there is only one reason. It is because I have used it and tested it against the other products in its category and found, from my personal experiences, that it worked better than anything else.

Rest assured that I have absolutely no ulterior motives to promote any product. I can get free or deeply discounted products from just about any archery company I deal with. Some of which I use and some I prefer to buy from another company that can't get me free stuff because it works best for me. If I decide to offer my opinion or facts about a particular company or product it is the truth based on my personal experiences.

If I say that John was late shipping multiple orders than he was dang sure late shipping multiple orders.

Ditto for me bigbulls!

but believe there are a couple that can't/don't get it.

I think it has more to do about their current crusade.

As stated in my previous post BuckNasty strings are good quality, and I'm hoping he actually has speeded his shipping up, but I am way more than satisfied with my current supplier (VaporTrail)

Has nothing to do with BowTech

I can also assure you....that as a person who's owned 5 Bowtechs.....I have NO issues with the products they produce. I think BC put it pretty well. Objectivity in online hunting forums has gone by the wayside. Sadly, I think the current atmosphere in "most" forums is one of apathy in this arena.

It is what it is.

If anything I said in this thread is untrue, I'll apologize and recant.

Thanks! Apology accepted!!

If I give an opinion on a product you can bet it has to do with my personal experience/opinion on that product.

I would not say something about any company that was not true in my experience, nor promote a company that made products I did Not have confidence in.

As far as BowTech is concerned their Customer service has suffered in the past several months. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they get that part of the ship righted. They make an Awesome bow, but product is only as good as the CS that backs it. I can, will, and always have shot what I feel is quality products and best for me. Being a dealer and having many dealer friends I trade out with, cost is never an issue.

Nothing is worth being dishonest about, and if you knew me, you would know I live by that.

I offered no apology, Dan. There's no need for that. Again....my comments were 100% accurate. If you (or anyone else) will point out where I strayed from the truth.....I'm sincere that I'll recant.

The mere fact that you're upset solidifies my point(s).....and there's no reason to be upset about it. If I represented a company, I'd be forthright in disclaiming it.....and I'd expect everyone to realize my comments were biased. I expect yours to be. If they weren't, I'd feel like you weren't doing your part!

Like I said way back there. I don't begrudge you your affiliations....nor do I turn a blind eye to them. There's nothing inflammatory in saying that. Nothing.

Again....my comments were 100% accurate.
Your comments had nothing to do with anything and were not accurate in the least. For some reason us stating facts about Bucknasty strings led you to the thought process of... "they must push Bowtech strings because they said something negative about bucknasty."?

Like I said, you thought it necessary to bring Bowtech into a thread about Bucknasty strings. I still haven't figured out why??????

I didn't bring BOWTECH into this conversation. I brought up the fact that there are affiliations with the company present. I don't know why that antagonizes you guys. It's true.

Again....If you'll point out the part(s) of my comments that are not 100% accurate, I'll sincerely recant. If not, please stop insinuating that they are (inaccurate). I don't wish to engage your generalities.....and I won't. Speak in specifics, or stop addressing me.

Really? I guess I completely misread this sarcastic comment????

Bowtech strings must take longer to make, BC. Or....maybe they're not getting a kick-back from John to push his wares. Hard to say. I know Bowtech has preferred companies they deal with (their dealers and staffers are allowed to purchase these products at a VERY reduced price.....and push them, in return).
And you would be completely wrong. We pay what every one else pays for quality strings from other manufacturers. In fact we pay more for BT stings than we do some other quality brands of stings. You know what they say about assuming.
