Mike Sohm and Magnus are a true class act. I purchased some Snuffers off the internet (I know, I know.... but I live in the boonies) and they were junk.....Advertised as new and OBVIOUSLY were not and they were the old heads made by Delta[:' (].....Well I contacted Mike to see if I could have him send me new inserts for the heads that were salvagable and he said send in the whole lot and he' ll replace them.......He said " They are guaranteed for life, NO MATTER WHAT!!" . So I sent them in and just got 7 snuffers in the mail and they are of excellent quality and every one of them spins true! How can you beat that??? I' m a die hard 4-blade Muzzy fan but I will be shooting Snuffers at least at elk this year. Heck, how can you go wrong??? I' ll never give up my Muzzys but I' m definately going to add Magnus to the arsenal if for nothing else but to support a great company that makes a great product and backs that product without question.

I love magnus heads, and have had nothing but great luck with them. I also used to shoot the muzzy 4 blades, and they are great heads as well. I' m shooting the 2 blade 125gr Magnus heads now, and love them. I have a couple buddies that shoot the Snuffers, man do those things make a hole!

I too take my hat off to Magnus for the way they stand behind their product. I have had them replace a head that I used for testing. I almost felt guilty for accepting the replacement but they knew what I was doing with the head when the ferrule bent.

I will also say that Magnus, and Mike to be specific are truely a credit to our sport. I am truely amazed at all the positive feedback I hear about Magnus. You really need to check out the 4 blade stingers. I was truely impressed with them, more so than any other head I have tested this year.

Chris,
I' m going to use the Snuffers with my recurve but I was curious about the retentions system for the Stinger bleeder blades.....could you compare it to something out there? I' d shoot the snuffers out of my compound but I' ve found that I get a " flyer" every now and then and I' m sure it' s just my shooting form or lack there of.....But that big cutting diameter is pretty unforgiving.....I don' t have that problem with the Nugent heads or any other head I own for that matter but none of them are as large as the snuffer either.....Stingers look like the ticket....

CG, the stingers have a unique way to hold the bleeders in. Thier is an aluminum " block" that fits over the bleeder blade, then the main blade fits over the block. It is very secure and simple to change out. It is the best system that I have ever seen for bleeders.

Yes, I would also have to agree about Magnus being a class act. I have used them for years. I shot some 150 grain four blade (188 grain with insert) last night and they fly great. I have always been a fan of their not vented heads. I will be using them this year out of both my compound, and longbow.

I' ve used snuffers for years, I shot a #150+ hog from a tree stand, shot was good, except the snuffer entered the knee joint, into the marrow channel and proceded to split it to the next joint, hog dropped within 40 yds. I recovered the snuffer and yes the blades were " out of alignment" to say the least, I took a picture of the blade and trophy and sent it to Mike in a email to show him how well the head performed. He said return it and it would be replaced!!! I thanked him for the offer but No thanks. The head along with others are on the wall in my shop. Thanks Mike for a great product.
