ozbowhunter, the sight was/is discontinued as of now.

I'm purchasing another Viper as I own 4 now. 2 Pro MT's and 2 Pro 2000's.

I can't say for certain having never used the sight, but I would say it's more than likely a low sales thing than a quality thing. If Octane wasn't making money on it, off to the scrape heap it goes, no matter how good it may be.

No point in getting rid of it. How do you like it? From what I understand, there was some very intricate expensive parts to make for the sight. The line is being re engineered.

i like the look of it but havent used it yet have read some reviews saying that they are noisy and that some of the threads strip out but untill i put it on the new bow i wont know
i just want to know that if it is a fault and it happens to mine how is it covered under warranty if there are none to replace it?

ok now im getting (deleted for skirting profanity filter) off have sent 6 emails to octane to try to find out what the issue is so i know if i should use the nxs sight or not and no reply
first i get dissapointed in the marquis i purchased and now the sight seems like the quality is dropping

well the customer service certainly is

if there is a problem with the sight list it on the website se we know dont just remove all reference and not answer any questions

all its doing is making me not recommend the company to anyone

When I went to the ATA show I anticipated looking at the ext bar sight from Octane. After talking with the Engineer, he said that the intricate parts are expensive to machine and it's being re engineered. Again, I heard nothing about issues. As mentioned above, they will be warranted if you have issue. I have read from many they love the sight.

If you want to sell it off, do so and I recommend the Viper line for one, if not use it and see how she'll do. It's just a sight.

What would make a company discontinue a sight, after only a year or two of production?

In looking at their site.....they don't list a single sight.

Cost? Company Satisfaction? I know they mentioned the expensive intricate parts and they are re engineering it but I think I mentioned that twice above.

For now, I'll stick with my Viper sights. I was hoping for an Ext bar NXS Sight.
