I was just wondering how old you have to be to get a deer tag in your state here in California it is 12yrs old

if im not mistaken here its ...up to 6 yrs none required as long as your with an adult that has a license...at 6 they have to have their own.

In NC you don' t need a lic. until you turn 16. Up till 16 you need to be hunting with someone that has a lic. & you use there tags.

We don' t have tags here in Mississippi. You can hunt with an adult without buying licenses til you are 16 if I am not mistaken. 16 years of age and older just have to buy license every year.

As far as I know there is no age restriction in ky.I bought deer tags for my daughter last year and she was only 8.My nephews started when they were 7.


When they are 10,they need a hunter card.I think this is a loophole.I think there intent is they have to be 10 to hunt and up untill that they can go with an adult.For now though,there is no age limit.

In New Jersey, bow or gun, 10. I know cause I' m an instructor.

I am relatively sure that you have to be 12 years of age to purchase a hunting license here in Pennsylvania.
