Default Button Bucks?

Just curious how many would purposely kill a Button Buck. I have done it by accident. The last time being back in 80's and after that I make double sure what I am pulling back on and if it's not light enough to tell then it is a No shot for me. Also let us know approx how many years you have bowhunted.

For me I would Not kill a button buck on purpose.

I have Bowhunted 41 years

depends on the situation.. ive only bow hunted 3 years, and have killed 3 buttons and i thought they were all does.

but like i said, it depends on the situation, normally if i knew it was a button i would not shoot, but where i hunt right now is an Earn-a-Buck area, So if i was having trouble getting that buck tag i would shoot one no doubt. if it wasn't EAB it would be different.

If I am ready to kill the next deer that walks by then the button dies.

Purposely? Right now....no.

Ever? I won't rule it out. I reserve the right to kill any legal deer I see fit.

I make double sure not to shoot a button also. I knowing if I choose I could but have no reason to shoot one. I have bow hunted for 22 years.

Never on purpose, nor do I shoot doe fawns to minimize an accidental shooting of a bb and I have no will to. If it's not a mature doe, or an antlered deer I'm not even picking up my bow. And that's my choice to make.

I try to be extra careful to get a positive ID on any Antlerles deer I choose to take. I certainly won't have anything to do with removing a Button Buck from my herd.

I've bowhunted for 22 years

Depends on the situation. Hunting on piece of land I know we are not going to lease next year, and I want the meat, sure. Hunting on a piece of land I own, or know I am going to be there next year, never.

Another note of interest would be how many you HAVE killed (on-purpose, or otherwise).

I've killed one in 5 yrs (piebald). I've been bowhunting only those 5 seasons....and I've taken 25 that weren't BB's.
