Default Getting a deer home or to the butcher.

Ok I traded my truck for a jeep adn am trying to find a way to get the deer from the woods to my house without putting it in the jeep. I was looking at one the things you stick in your hitch and hoist the deer up on. Do you think it would work driving it on a road maybe 30 mph or atleast 20. I figure I could weld one up for half the money
Here is what I am talking about

you're kidding, right?

Are you planning on taking it on a public road? Or just private trails?

Why don't you want to throw a deer into the back of the jeep? I do it all the time in my Commander. I just put a tarp down.

The hoist would beat the hell out of the jeep, the deer and anything else w/in reach. Get a hitch haul.

That's what I would do too. I think the Sportsman's Guide is selling one for about $60 if I recall correctly (which is a crap shoot given my memory...)

Ya I guess te hitch platform is the best. I am building one in my welding class in fact. I thought the other lift might be better. Making the platform out of 1 inch square tubing. Planing on a 2 inch support underneath to mount to the hitch. When I get done it will cost me about 60 bucks and be alot better then one your find on sportsman guide.
