Rub???
2 Attachment(s)
idk if this is a rub or not...seems a little high up and late for one.... the highest point is about 6 foot and my hand is a reference for how big around it is.....first sign of the rut i have seen in that area....hmm...no bucks on camera either....

where are you?
northwest MO
its a rub for sure
That is a nice rub, but I have not found a new rub in a while and I hunt central MO. Could be a buck that moved in to a doe heavy area that does not have a dominate buck right now. I know the secondary rut has kicked in around here. Seen several bucks chasing over the last week or so. In fact, I had one come into a can call the other night, just too darn dark to see through the peep on the bow. Oh well, smokepole starts tomorrow.

No doubt that is a rub and he destroyed that tree. I think you might have a buck worth looking for!!!!

The height on that Is crazy!! 6 feet you say?
rub and a smashed nail on your right hand...yikes!
? Tracks in snow?
pine tree's?
i have seen this in pine tree's 12-15 feet off the ground...w/o the shredding...i would say its a rub just because of the shreded pulp of the tree. i used to thin the ones w/o the shreding were rubs, till i saw them 12 foot high and higher.any ideas what it could be? |
well good eye on the smashed finger part but it wasnt a nail :(....and yes 6 ft...i am 5 10 and it was above my eyes....and its a tree i walk by to go to my camera so there were my tracks and a few doe tracks but not enough snow from where i walked through to tell...and all does on my camera but no bucks yet....i will have to hunt it soon then!!
