My beautiful archery coyote.
My first archery coyote. He's a beauty too. :happy0157:
Got him while I was standing on the ground, hiding in some cedar saplings. I was wearing a shaggie and blaze orange. He came by quickly, giving me a 17 yard shot. Smoked him... and I was feeling a bit of bigheadedness until about 1.5 hours later a coyote that actually had fur came by and gave me a 12 yard, standing still shot and I shot over it's back. (I suck :s14:) Maybe he's actually a 'possum and coyote cross. Look at that tail. ;) He was actually very heavy. (those scabs must weigh a lot) Mostly, he was a crusty, scabby, stinky mess. His teeth were all worn down too. Either he had bad dental hygiene or he was an old dog. |
Thats a mangy sucker there. Good job dust'n him though:cool2:

That may be the most mangy coyote I've seen in a while, he sure is a good one though. Congrats!! I'm guessing you were calling them?

Thanks. I have his head on my stove right now. I'll post a picture when it's done. (I'm cleaning his skull, not making soup) ;)

I can't believe it!
That thing is even uglier than the one I shot a couple years ago! Mine had mange also, but still had somewhat of a tail. It looked so bad that I left it where it was. Congrats................I think. :) |
