Default Euro mount

My Dad shot a nice 6pt this year with a bow. Instead of paying the taxi we were gonna try to do a homemade euro mount. I'm looking for suggestions from anyone who may have done this at home before. Do I just bury the skull and antlers?

You can do that, or get a camping stove and do this outdoors, you DONT want this smell in your house, fill a pot with water, boil it, wrap the antler bases in aluminum foil so you dont boil them white, and just cook until the residue meat, brain matter etc etc either falls off or is easily scraped off.

Try to keep the antlers out of the water as much as you can.

Or just skin it out real good get all the meat flesh fur ect off it get the brain out and do like the guy said and boil it, and then take oxi clean to it, it gets it white and won't make it as brittle.... That's my suggestion.
