Talking First Buck of The Season!

Well today i got out of work around 3, raced home and got my gear together, i had a feeling about tonight being a good night, i was running late i always seem to see deer when im running late, so here it is 3:45 and im finally up in my stand, i heard some movement in the leaves behind me, so i got ready, but sadly it was only a squirrel. So i sat for another 20 minutes until around 4:30, well i was about to lose hope and get out of my stand when i heard what i thought was another squirrel running around in the leaves, when 20 yards away this guy pokes his head out into my shooting lane, nose to the ground sniffing away, (they cant be looking for does already, can they?) as soon as he finally walked all the way out and gave me a good shot, i took him. The arrow got both lungs but didnt go through him, he ran about 60 yards and dropped. So happy i finally got a buck this year

Nice shooting, I always get that feeling going out. Until I don't see anything.

Congrats on your kill! Judging by his neck, he looks like a good sized buck. Happy eating.
