Default can't find my deer?

Hi guys i went out tonight had a nice doe come in after a while and stuck her looked like a good shot and felt good she kick fell on her face and got up staggered out of sight so i waited an hour got some lights and a buddy and went out to get her. when w got to the arrow it was broke in half and a blade on my broadhead broke. it looks like it was a pass threw so idk how it broke unless when it fell. so we started finding huge puddles of blood, blodd sprayed on everything and after about 100 yards of that you could see where she would stop and there was just huge un real amounts of blood then it started dryin up i figured she needed to fill up thats all. but after 300 yards it hadn't picked up so we backed out cause our lights were dyin on us. Can anyone give me an idea of what i could do i mean i have never seen a deer bleed like this from a shotgun hit. but she is still movin. sure hope i can find her!!!

go out int he AM when it is light out. when its dark, you could be 5 yards from a deer and miss it in all honesty. doesnt take much to walk right past one and not not shine your light right on it. good luck, im sure shes down, i wonder if you pushed her further out by getting down. 1 hr should be good but you never know.

Don't give up, sounds like you hit her good, just like itsslow said, you could have walk right by her at night. You will find her, she cant be to far, hopefully anyway. GL, keeps us posted.

These guys are right...You could be 10 feet either way of that deer and just missed it. Looking for deer in the dark is tough. When walking the woods today, look for that pronounced white belly! That usually gives them away. Sounds like you have a good shot. She should be down. Good Luck,
Bob

You must also learn to find the drops of blood the size of a pin head. Get on your hands and knees if you must. Go slow and don't give up too easy. Good luck.

If ya have a girl friend or wife get them out there, women are very good trackers due to thier attention to detail...........Trust me.......or just retrace from your shot, like said could be 10ft away and not see it at night...

dont give up, youll find her close to where you were when the lights died

and look carefully in the daytime too, cant tell ya how many times guys have stepped less than a foot from a dead deer and didnt see it before i showed with the dog!!!

then the story goes how we walked around this dead deer 5 times and couldnt find it, had to pay the dog $500 to show us we found it a long time ago lol

Post pics when you find her! Like everyone says, its real easy to not find it in the dark. Last year I quit looking at last blood and the next morning found it not 10 yards from the last spot I marked.
